Who actually shows up at your house?
I'm Ken Holder, and the business is run out of 2304 Walnut Lane here in Waycross. That matters more than it sounds like it should. A lot of the roofing work advertised for Waycross is sold by companies based somewhere else, with a crew that drives down, does the job and drives back. If you have a question six months from now, you're calling a number in another city.
We're a locally based business. The inspection, the treatment and the follow-up all come from the same person, and the address above is a real one you can look up.
If you want the full technical rundown of what the product is and how it's applied, that lives on the roof rejuvenation service page. This page is about what it looks like for a home here in Ware County.
What is roof rejuvenation, in plain terms?
Asphalt shingles are flexible when they're new because of the oils in them. Over the years those oils dry out, the shingle gets stiff and brittle, and it stops holding onto its granules the way it used to. That's the gravel-looking grit you find in the gutter and at the bottom of the downspout.
The treatment we spray is a 100% bio-based rejuvenator made from corn seed oil. It's USDA Certified Bio-Based and made in the USA from renewable materials. The idea is to put flexibility back into shingles that have dried out, so they keep their granules instead of shedding them.
It is not a coating and it is not paint. It's also not a repair. If something on your roof is broken, it needs to be fixed by a roofer before anything gets sprayed. We only do rejuvenation and roof tune-ups, and I'll tell you straight when your roof needs something we don't offer.
Which Waycross roofs actually qualify?
There are three things I check before I'll quote a treatment, and I'd rather you know them up front than find out after I'm on a ladder.
One: the roof is not currently leaking. Rejuvenation does not stop a leak and won't fix the cause of one. Two: the roof is roughly 10 to 20 years old. Newer than that and the shingles still have their own oils. Older than that and you're usually looking at replacement, not maintenance. Three: five or fewer missing shingles. More than that is a sign the roof has moved past what this service is meant to do.
If your home fails one of those checks, I'll say so and you won't get a sales pitch. If you want to work through it yourself first, there's a walkthrough at is your roof a good candidate for rejuvenation.
What does the visit look like?
It starts with a free inspection and estimate. I come out, get on the roof, look at the shingle condition, the granule loss, the flashing areas and anything that's obviously damaged, and then tell you whether you're a candidate.
If the roof qualifies and you want to move forward, the treatment itself typically takes 1 to 2 hours. It's sprayed, so there's no tear-off, no dumpster in the driveway and no crew in your house. Most homeowners go about their day.
Ask about the current 20% promotion when you call. Every roof gets quoted on site after the inspection — square footage, pitch and condition all change what the job takes, so I don't price it over the phone.
What's covered afterward?
The treatment is backed by a 5-year transferable warranty. It's guaranteed to help keep your shingles flexible and retain granules for five years, and if it doesn't, we re-treat free.
Transferable means it moves with the house. If you sell within those five years, the coverage goes to the buyer, which is worth mentioning when you list.
The product itself is backed by independent third-party lab testing and field performance across millions of square feet of asphalt shingles. If you want to see what granule loss looks like on a real Georgia roof before you decide anything, start with granule loss on shingles.
How far do you travel from Waycross?
Waycross and Ware County are home base, so that's where I'm out most often. From there the service area runs through Southeast Georgia and up into Middle Georgia, down to the Florida line.
If you're not sure whether your address falls inside that, call and ask. It's a short conversation and I'd rather tell you yes or no than have you guess. The service areas page has the current coverage.
Roofs in this part of Georgia take a beating from heat, humidity and heavy summer sun, which is exactly what dries out shingle oils. That's covered in more detail in why asphalt shingles dry out in Southeast Georgia.
How do I book an inspection?
Call or text (912) 856-9770, or email rrsega26@gmail.com. We work by appointment, Monday through Saturday, Eastern time.
Tell me the approximate age of the roof, whether you've had any leaks, and whether you can see missing shingles from the ground. That's usually enough for me to tell you on the phone whether an inspection is worth your time.
You can also send a message through the contact page and I'll get back to you to set a time.
Frequently asked questions
Does rejuvenation replace having a roofer?
No. We only do rejuvenation and roof tune-ups. If your roof is leaking, has storm damage or needs structural work, you need a roofing contractor for that work first. I'll tell you when that's the case.
Will the treatment make a mess of my yard or driveway?
The product is 100% bio-based corn seed oil and is sprayed on the shingles. There's no tear-off and no debris the way there is with a replacement. I'll walk the property with you before and after.
What if my roof is 25 years old?
That's generally outside what this service is meant for. The sweet spot is roughly 10 to 20 years. I'll still come look at it for free and give you a straight answer, but I'm not going to treat a roof that needs replacing.
How soon can you get out to my house in Waycross?
We schedule by appointment Monday through Saturday. Since Waycross is home base, local inspections are usually the easiest to fit in. Call (912) 856-9770 and we'll find a time.
Is the warranty really transferable to a buyer?
Yes. The 5-year warranty transfers with the home. If the shingles don't stay flexible and retain granules during that period, the roof gets re-treated free.
